An operational comparison
The evaluation examined simultaneous target acquisition, reception at distance and the speed at which usable information reached operators. Looking at these capabilities together matters: a distant observation has limited value if it arrives too late, and target capacity must be considered alongside the timeliness of the resulting tracks.

According to AirSentinel, operators reported observing more simultaneous targets, longer reception distances and faster information delivery than with the previously used system during this evaluation. No quantified or independently verified benchmark is published for the comparison. The report describes experience at this installation and does not establish a universal performance ranking.

The observations informed the installation's understanding of AirSentinel's role in base security. Current drone intelligence can support assessment of activity around a protected site and give the responsible team information for its established response process. Detection supplies the operational picture; the installation determines how that picture is used.
The lesson for evaluation
Compare the complete sensing and delivery workflow in the environment that matters. Include representative aircraft, more than one simultaneous target, relevant operating distances and the actual destination for the data. The strongest acceptance criteria connect sensor performance with the information operators need to receive.
